People keep asking me to "check out my mage and tell me if you like my music".... [sigh]
Lets get one thing established: 1, I do not have the TIME to do this, 2, I just might NOT like your music, which would unfairly bias me AGAINST your music, and POSSIBLY lead me to not fairly render my services to you on a fair and unbiased basis, 3, I do not sign bands based on my pewrsonal assessment of your marketability, and finally, if you are looking for me to PURCHASE your music, you are simply wasting your time.
The only time I hear music from a given band is when it is submitted for movie sound tracks, because to obtain the exclusive agency I now have to several movie production companies, I had to earn the reputation of knowing the business.
That is to say, I have to know what the producer wants, even before THEY know what they want. So the only way I'm likely to hear your music is either if you are submitting through me to have your band placed before movie production companies, or if you are looking as professional consultion services, for which I do have to charge a fee.
Consultation services are not part of the record label's listed services.
The LABEL is non profit, but my consultation suervice is not. Consultation services also include locating financial backers which is a very specialized field and even movie production companies come to me for assistance for this.
