DARKNESS FALLS is a hardcore melodic metal band along the lines of In Flames/All That Remains/Killswitch Engage/Within Temptation/Lacuna Coil/Soilwork/Shadows Fall/Trivium/Pantera. DARKNESS FALLS rehearses in Westminster, California at Bomb Shelter Studios. The band features Blake Nelson on Lead Guitar & Vocals (Blake has played with such people as Ron Rinehart of Dark Angel & David Lombardo of Slayer and Derin Argon of Army of Darkness and several other successfull bands). And on lead vocals we have Arminta Nelson who has her own big accomplishments in the mid-West, and has mad talent and strong pipes. We will be back in the studio in early 2009 recording with Arminta on vocals; so players are needed. I need a second guitarist who knows harmonies real well, a drummer, a bassist, and someone to do electronics. Everyone will have equal say so in song writing. I believe in total democracy in song writing and everything that pertains to the band. I am very easy to work with. I tune to drop C just in case you were wondering.For gear I use USA Jackson Randy Rhoads and Taylor 910CE acoustic guitars, EMG 81 & 85 pick-ups, Floyd Rose tremelo's, Mesa Boogie Tri-Axis, Mesa Boogie 2-90 power amps, Mesa Boogie Triple Recitifiers, Mesa Boogie Rectifier cabinets with full armor, Rocktron Intellefix, Korg DTR-1 digital strobe tuners, Sennheiser G2 Evolution wireless units, Furman AR-1215 power conditioners, Mesa Boogie Flight Cases, Ground Control Midi pedals, and Shure Beta microphones. We are totally pro with pro gear and tour ready. Check out the video of a guitar solo I did at 4am in the morning; drunk as a skunk, and my friend used his phone to tape it; it turned out pretty sweet considering the circumstances.
