About Me

Deviant Television Network: Quality lowbrow entertainment for the masses (http://www.deviant-tv.net/).DTV's only goal is to entertain -- it is NOT to be taken seriously. Topics include: classic Japanese toys; punk, garage, surf, rockabilly, p-funk and old-school funk; men's girlie and action magazines; Japanese kaiju television from the 60s and 70s (Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Space Giants, Spectreman, Mirrorman, etc.); forgotten treasures of children's and primetime television; drive-in, grindhouse and art-house cinema genres such as exploitation, sexploitation, blaxploitation, mexploitation, nazisploitation, nudie-cuties, women-in-prison, eurotrash, horror, trash, mondo, shock, giallo, kung-fu and all other forms of mondo-bizzarro filmaking; graphic art and illustration from classic sleaze paperbacks and pulp magazines, such as Bill Ward, Eric Stanton and Gene "Eneg" Bilbrew; as well as the art of Lowbrow and Pop-Surrealist renegades such as Mark Ryden, Glenn Barr, Tim Biskup, Joe Coleman, Alex Gross, Charles Krafft, Dave Cooper, Tadanori Yokoo, Camille Rose Garcia, Ray Caesar, etc.

My Interests

..

Softkey Left softkey Right ..

I'd like to meet:

I'm really not into hero worship, but let's see... a perfect dinner party might include Charles Bukowski, Hasil Adkins, William Gaines, Johnny Ramone, Russ Meyer, Robert Anton Wilson and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. I'd invite Link Wray to play a set with floorshow entertainment provided by the lovely Miss Candy Barr.

Of course, they’re all dead now but a boys-night-out with that group of zombies would be a blast.

This MySpace profile is simply a means of pointing hapless surfers and lurkers to the DTV Network site (http://www.deviant-tv.net/). To be clear, only a handful of the “friends” listed below are known to me personally. The list represents a small network of artists whose work I admire or other individuals with similar tastes in lowbrow "culture."

So, if you’re a naughty hausfrau looking for some action; or a lonely emo-teenager looking to share your angst; or a crappy band looking to sell some crappy cd’s; or a wannabe porn-starlet looking to sell some tease; or any other sort of spammer looking to spam… well, I'm afraid we can't be “friends.” I’m sorry it didn’t work out -- it’s not you, it’s me… really.
