Giacomo Castellano was born in Florence on the 10th of April 1969. He began studying guitar when he was 15 years old, initially self taught, he subsequently began studying at local music schools were he learnt the basis of theory and improvisation. In 1988 Giacomo moved to Hollywood to study at Musicians Institute school of music. Since then he went trough a lot of musical (and life) experiences including teaching, writing music books ( two best sellers in guitar book category), studio sessions, touring and tv promo with major italian and spanish artists such as Raf, Irene Grandi, Gianluca Grignani, Vasco Rossi, Paolo Vallesi, Marco Masini, Claudio Simonetti, Adriano Celentano, Gianna Nannini, Monica Naranjo, Rosana Arbelo and, last but not least, Lugarx, a real powerful underground spanish female artist who really rocks, mixing different interesting influences.
Giacomo has always been deeply interested in producing and arranging. he loves this part of the music process even more than playing guitar..
Giacomo started composing music after 5 minutes from his first note on guitar..He was composing mentally even before playing guitar, that..s why, as many other musicians, Giacomo started to play an instrument.
His first solo album called Cutting Bridges was released on february 2004. (also available on guitar9.com). This record represent the first chapter of a 4 albums project. It..s basicly a self-produced musical experiment including music composed douring the last 10 years, the music included in the record is ..guitar based.. but this is not a shredding guitar record. The guitar is the main thing there but the music style involved here are different and there are some nice vocals too..

Giacomo is a really nice guy ad he doesn..t want to bother you with a tooo looong boring detailed biography including important names and projects that probabily you have never heard in your life...so he’ll list only the most important things.
During the 2007, he played as official guitar player (together with LuÃs Cruz) for the musical "WE WILL ROCK YOU" (by Queen) in MADRID. At te same time he’s been touring with the italian star GIANNA NANNINI all across Europe.
The 2008 starts recording the guitars of the new Thomas Lang project, the Italian tour with Gianna Nannini and the endorsement of IBANEZ guitars.
