Sophia Emfietzi, vocalsProfessional tracksSophia Emfietzi appears as a vocalist for the first time in her birth-city, Xanthi, in 1979 and makes her first professional steps in Salonica.Two years later, in 1981, she founds Athinaiki Kompania along with D. Hadjidiakos, N. Doukas, C. Kanellopoulos and G. Nikoleris. During the same year they release their first album with the contribution of Haris Alexiou. The album makes a great success and becomes gold.For the following ten-year period she carries on her appearances and hits with Athinaiki Kompania, while at the same time she participates in other famous artists works (H. Alexiou, E. Vitali, M. Mitsias, S. Dionissiou, D. Mitropanos, Ch. Nikolopoulos, P. Terzis and many more).It is in 1991 when she decides to pursue a new course and she releases her first personal album "The day after", in Sony Music.In 1993 she returns to the city that brought her out, Salonica, where she works with local artists for the next three years.In 2001 she participates in Costa Ferri's musical show "Cafe Aman" in Athens. She is also featured in the live recording of the show that follows.Until 2004 she is based in Salonica working with local ensembles. Upon her return to Athens she starts a series of appearances aside "Dromos" Bouzouki Band, both on music stages and in live concerts.
