Toni's dad Ed McCormick - having heart surgery by the end of the week. Toni has to drive to Alabama to be there and needs car situation to work out. Pray for healing for Ed - Calm, peace for Toni. Also pray for Brian, Tim and Jason as they hold down the fort at home in Kellar, Tx.

AMAZING ANSWERS TO PRAYER TODAY - August 5, 2007
These next two paragraphs are written by Lindsay Jones - I couldn't tell it any better so I'm just reposting..... This morning God told me to tell everyone I knew about HIS answers to our prayers and so I'm going to do it. I have one more and it's at the end of these two answers to prayer....
FROM LINDSAY:
"so about those jesus stories.
first one was yesterday. mama dawn had a huge migraine. so i got to pray over her. when i was praying for healing, i had a vision of a pitcher full of holy oil spilling out from the heavens upon her. after we finished praying, she told me it went away, and her head felt numb. and she said it felt like oil had been poured out upon her head. Jesus is so good.
second one was tonight. dawn's son, christopher, hit his hand on a pole, and it was more than broken, at the show. it was really gnarly looking. so he was putting ice on it, and i was walking to my car to get aleve, but then the holy spirit hit me, and told me to go pray for him. So we joined hands, and i prayed over chris' hand. at first it still hurt a little, but a half an hour later it was gone. the pain was gone, the swelling was gone, and it looked un broken. it was amazing. we prayed over it again just for good measures. but Jesus is the freaking bomb!!! He really wants His children whole, and fully restored."

Last but definitely not least
My grandma has been healed. Last month we were praying for her because she was having so many "strokes" - so the docs thot - and a fractured hip, in and out of hospital for a month.... we seriously thot she was not going to make it -God answered - the last time I saw her a couple of weeks ago - she was walking around and talking like always - God is faithful - my grandpa needs her here still - it is not time for her to go and my grandpa still has his sweetheart on this earth - they are in their 80's and I'm just thankful that we still have them here with us. THANKS JESUS!!!

What to Pray for One Another
The letter to the Colossians calls us to pray and to do everything in the name of our great Christ. Paul’s prayer for these people is a model of pastoral concern coupled with theological acuity. Paul knows that ideas have far-reaching consequences for good or for bad; there is no idea more determinative of everything else than our understanding of Christ. What kind of prayer should we pray for another Christian? What should we pray for the church in any nation? Pray the following character qualities into the lives of individual believers, your church or the churches in your nation.
To be filled with the knowledge of God’s will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding - Pray that they would understand what God wants them to do and gain spiritual wisdom from Him.
To live a life worthy of the Lord - Pray that their lives would honor God in every aspect of life in the home, workplace, or out in the neighborhood.
To please Him in every way - Pray that they would please God always and that they would know how to put their faith into practice by helping others.
To bear fruit in every good work - Pray that they would continually do good and kind things to others and that their actions would be fruitful.
To grow in the knowledge of God - Pray that they would learn to know God better and better.
To be strengthened with all power according to His glorious might - Pray that they would be strengthened within with His mighty power that never ends.
To have great endurance and patience - Pray that they would learn to persevere even when it is hard.
To joyfully give thanks to the Father - Pray that they would continually walk in God’s joy and learn to be thankful in all circumstances.
Choose five Christians and faithfully pray Colossians 1:9-12 into their lives. You may pick your family members, friends, Christian leaders or anyone in the body of Christ. Realize that when you pray these prayers for someone else, you are praying a powerful Scriptural prayer that will have great effect. God’s Word does not return void, and He loves to answer prayers based on the Bible. I am learning more and more to pray the Bible, and I find it to be extremely helpful on every occasion. When I don’t know how to pray, I pray the Bible. Some other Apostolic prayers in the Bible are Philippians 1:3-4, 8-11, Colossians 1:2-4, 9-12; 4:2-4, 12, I Thessalonians 3:9-12, 5:23-25 and Ephesians 1:15-20, 3:14-21, 6:18-20.
