About Me

..

I've been writing short stories since I was a pre-teen. My friends Gina, Erika, Tisa, Julia, and Erica used to write about meeting New Edition. YES, I'm embarrassed to say it's true!!! That's how it all started. As I got older, my writing evolved. I never thought about actually publishing my work until my friend Nancey Flowers encouraged me to "Go for it!" And though it took me over 3 years, Love Lessons has finally hit the shelves!!!

THE REVIEWS ARE IN!!!
“Love Lessons is a witty and passionate, true-to-life novel dealing with the subtle complexity of true love. It gives a new understanding to the cliché good things come to those who wait.”
Nancey Flowers – author of #1 Essence Bestselling novel, Shattered Vessels and No Strings Attached
"Imbued with emotion, drama and reality, Love Lessons is a wonderful read. I absolutely loved the strong family bonds of both the Jacksons and the Morgans. For me, it was a trip down memory lane with Stacey's cd and note. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the Spike Lee comment. (I thought I was the only one that hated that too.) Love Lessons is a pleasure to read, as the love and reality of the story unfolds. This was a very promising debut, and I look forward to Terren's next novel."
Toni, OOSA Online Book Club

"I absolutely enjoyed Love Lessons. Though it is a fictional story, many can relate to the issues surrounded by the love triangle of Stacey, Patrick and Ronnie. Ronnie and Stacey..whew..they heat up the pages! Ronnie is the type of man that many women fantasize about. Get a copy of the book! You will not be disappointed!"
Cherron C., Morrisville, NC

This was a well written book. The flow was exceptional. I do hope that the author will consider writing a sequel. I would love to know how Ms. Jackson and Mr. Morgan handle Atlanta.
Monica D., Clinton, MD

This book was definitely a page turner and it even brought back memories of my college days. The characters were well developed and throughout the story you felt as if you were right there with them. This book is a good example that love can conquer all and that there are still good men out there. I look forward to the next novel!!
Dana M., Columbus, OH
Good read! Loved the way the story unfolded. Liked that Terren included humor in the story! Looking forward to the sequel!
Deniece T., Alexandria, VA

Love Lessons was totally fantastic! It was awesome. I could relate to so many things in the book especially the big legs. (smile) I laughed so hard when Stacey’s father made the comment about Spike Lee and having his characters floating down the street. That was too funny. The story is very interesting and keeps your attention. It’s down to earth and full of excitement. I lost myself in the book and by the end, I learned as Stacey learned. The book, as corny as this is going to sound, even taught me what real love is about and even renewed my hopes that it can happen! God has gifted you and you are definitely on your way to carving out your own niche. All I can say is the book was outstanding!!!
