Wendy's soul-full voice is accompanied by herfunk-rock acoustic guitar, a percussive djembe (played by Josh Lacy)and an expressive bassist (Jeremy Hall).
Influences: Music varying from classical to hardcore, from punk rock to hip hop. If it's been written and she's heard it, there's no doubt, it's influenced her in one way or another.
Sounds Like: A cosmic collision of Ani DiFranco, Nora Jones and Jason Mraz.
Her sound has an intricate, romantic and truthful blend of indie-rock and soul with drops of spoken word and hip hop and is commonly referred to as alternative folk. She's has been compared to a wide variety of female vocalists, some of which are Jewel, Alanis Morsette, Ani DiFranco, Crystal Lewis and Nora Jones.
