"Another sappy unbelievable "Christian" film????
No, far from it. This is actually a dark comedy, but not a "Christian Bashing" film in any way. After all the writer/director himself is a Christian as are some of the cast & crew.
Jesus Fish is about what happens when you take a group of over-confident, over-arrogant, and basically over-Christian people and put them in some very very unusual and intense circumstances. Throw in a whole mix of good ol fashioned imperfect humanity with not so perfect thoughts, language & actions. Top it off with some Tarantino appreciating storytelling and some characters that would make Kevin Smith smile with wicked glee and you have a hint of an idea of where this is going.
Did I mention a Savior & a shotgun?
And when all is said & done it's a dark comedy...with a light at the end of the tunnel."
