They perform music titles that range from original compositions such as Gary’s “Sweet Bossa”, Fuasi’s “Pushcart” or Ray’s ballad “The Room” to songs written by such diverse artist as James Brown, Bobby Womack, and Duke Ellington just to name a few. The VSTS was founded in the summer of 2002 when it came together to perform what became a very successful concert and a wonderful evening at the Köpenick Jazz and Blues Festival 2002. Under the direction of Gary Wiggins a very soulful tenors show was built that represents more than fifty years of American soul music.
