It has been many years ago since Ingram made his first steps into show-business. But only since 25 years ago did this talented man start to spread his talent throughout the entire world. Born in 1940, Ingram grew up in Detroit Michigan and learned his singing skills by listening to jazz at the early age of 10. Ingram's mother, also a singer and performer, introduced him to many well-known jazz musicians of the early 40's and 50's such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Betty Carter, Billy Eckstine and many more that have long been gone but not forgotten.Listening to the old ballads at that time became one of Ingram's favourite past timesand he became very familier with the mellow tones of Nat 'King' Cole, Al Hibbler, Joe Williams, and the man he admired mostly for his deep baritone voice, Arthur ("Blue Velvet") Prysock.Ingram has performed in clubs and concerts in every corner of the globe, (from the most northern ports of Norway to the southhern tips of New Zealand, including Austria, Australia, U.S.A., Canada ,France, Thailand,Germany,Spain, Lebanon, England, Switzerland, Holland and Belgium). Ingram has also performed along with for many well known artists such as Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Scott Hamilton, Teddy Edwards, Spanky Wilson, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Cees Slinger (NL), John C. Marshall (ENG), Ann Burton (NL) and Robby Agerbeek (NL)"TOOT's" Theileman (Belgium/USA), John Engels (NL), and Rhoda Scott. On Ingram's most recent CD's you will find several compositions by the very talented Dutch composer Albert van Dam and piano arrangements by the artistic mind of Cajan Witmer.
