Fay Victor’s Jazz Vault

does that swing?!?!

About Me

The Jazz Vault project is a showcase for my take on the rich vault of Jazz history with particular emphasis on the compositions of Herbie Nichols and Thelonious Monk. We also do compositions from Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, Jackie McLean, Duke Ellington, Eddie Harris and originals tunes of my own. "Monkey's Dream" and "Mood Indigo" are excerpts from a recent concert I performed at the Bimhuis (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) in June 2008 featuring Misha Mengelberg-piano, Ernst Glerum-bass and Wolter Wierbos-trombone called the FREE SONG SUITE, Part I. "The Happenings" is a Herbie Nichols piece just performed with the core Jazz Vault Group @ Cornelia Street Cafe w/Anders Nilsson-guitar; Michael Attias-alto saxophone; Jose Davila-tuba. Enjoy!
