About Me

Since 1990, Greg has been playing professionally w/groups ranging in style from blues, alt-folk, reggae and funk. in th mid 90's, he opened into th rocky mt. acoustic fold too. in 2001, he was awarded 1st place in th Grand Targhee Bluegrass Flatpicking Contest.
Greg has shared th stage w/Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, Brian Jordan (Karl Denson), Terry Saffold (Issac Hayes), Ben Winship (Loose Ties, Growling Old Men, Kane's River, etc.), Reina Collins, and th great bunch of musicians around Jackson WY. he has opened for th Subdudes, James McMurtry, and Beth McIntosh, among others.
In 2000 he started hiring out his recording services and in '04, he attended th Recording Workshop and since has opened his recording business to a much greater scope. he has worked in a number of genres, ranging from classical to singer-songwriter, country blues to reggae, trailriding cowboy and beyond. services offered are mobile &/or in house tracking, mixing and editing in th shadows of th Tetons.

"...growing up in Pittsburgh, sonic impressions: Kennywood Amusement Park- th hammond organ w/its multiple leslie cabs. in big churches, w/all th pipes and th reverb-space-something else was happening. Yes was th 1st concert (age12), roundabout, subwoofers, Genesis soon after...good crazy people and lots of them. already into guitar by that point, art rock, hardrock, listening to th soul and funk station late at nite shaped a lot too. got into blues and reggae, w/a helping of things New Orleans style. now it's new acoustic, over on to Jamaica and th French Quarter, and then up towards th mts for some country and bluegrass w/a pinch of folk (to even out th mt.s)..."
"jamaican waves" is essentially improv and is really a snapshot and nod to earnest and th link to n.orleans..."that day when" is th latest recording. more music, gigs, and profile info to come.
