Have a new bassist!

About Me

WE WILL BE GIGGING AGAIN FROM 17 OCTOBER
That's right. Now that we have a bassist (take a bow Andy) we will be playing gigs again, but as a three piece until we get a guitarist. The first show will be in St Helens on 17 October. We want as many gigs as possible after that, so please get in touch if you'd like us to play.
Meanwhile...
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A GUITARIST
You’d need your own gear, transport (depending on where you live), and a healthy appetite for have fun. Oh aye, and if you can play and sing a bit that would be a big help. You can see and hear us on this site; for more information, a chat and some bad jokes, call Ste on 07779930213.
Preference will be given to candidates who have access to cheap sausage rolls or cider. Anyone with both will get the job on the spot.
The proper biography:
Flat Back Four are a punk band from St Helens and Manchester in the north west of England (or LANCASHIRE as they prefer to call large parts of it). They like football, beer, cricket, curry, history, sausage rolls and – of course – punk. Well, and metal, come to think of it. They play fast, catchy songs about the things they like (the studious can refer to the helpful list above) and enjoy playing gigs very much indeed. In three years they have played about 100, spending a small fortune on plectrums, sausage rolls and petrol on the way.
In the same period they have released two E.P.s, one album (Who Dares Penguins), and one split cd, eaten about two tons of Scotch eggs, had six drummers, played in Germany (three trips) and Sweden (they speak Swedish there, ya know) and had six drummers. Did I mention that? Yes, six. Not all at once. Thankfully, the settled down following the return of original drummer Tom Cunningham in October 2006 and things are looking up. The shows in the last year earned some damned fine reviews (seriously) and they have a steady stream of dates coming up.
They recorded three new songs for a split CD (From The Streets Vol. 1) at end of 2006, but problems at the label meant that we only got our hands on a couple of dozen copies in September 2007. Hallelujah!
The lads have just released a new EP, Once More Unto the Breach, and have got back from from playing in Germany. If you see them on the road, throw a sausage roll at them, or perhaps a flump. Go on. You know you want to.
BUYING STUFF
To buy any of the CDs listed on the left, or any of the three t-shirt designs, send us a message through this site or email us at [email protected]
