FUNGALPUNK REVIEW
A very clever CD this with obvious patience and thought gone into the overall mix. The 1st track sets the flavour for a good blend of moderate paced melodies that place emphasis on rhythm rather than riot. Far from hardcore this demo still packs an adequate punch and the catchy guitar riffs are subtle and effective. Track 2 'Innocent Eyes' has a ska/reggae touch but still remains punk and to me is the pick of a solid octet of sounds. The lyrics are sharp and streetwise and back up an overall well thought out package. The CD is good and only lacks a final humph to give it that much sought after finishing touch. 'Faith Before Reason' and 'Most Likely To Fail' are other noteworthy highs. With various musical angles incorporated into this steady mix this seems to be a product of a band that has planned. A great demo and worthy of a listen from anyone.
PUNK & Oi IN THE UK REVIEW
8 track c.d. from this South Yorkshire band who formed in the winter of 2004. Catchy melodic punk is the order of the day here which falls somewhere between S.L.F. and possibly Major Accident with maybe a nod to Dropkick Murphys along the way. Theres not a bad track on here and if youre into good sing-a-long punk you could do a lot worse than getting hold of this. 4 out of 5 Review by Paul
MARY - RED BLUFF, CA, USA
Wow! This band is by far one of the most intense yet melodic bands I have heard in the last 20 years. This is "punk rock" at it's finest. No gimmicks. No plastic, watered down crap. This band is catchy and definitely compassionate about what they are doing. Cheers! Rating: 5/5
PAUL - IPSWICH, UK
I had not heard of this band until I did a support slot at a punk fest in Ipswich. Live the band are very tight and energetic. I bought the CD from Interpunk with great expectations, I'm pleased to report that I have not been let down, as this is the best album I have purchased for quite some time. The guitar riffs are melodic and crisp giving the band a distinctive sound which I have to say is outstanding. The bass guitar fills the back line giving good dept to the sound, with owesome bass lines to rival any bass player you'd care to mention. The drummer keeps it tight with a milatry precision. The vocals are in tune with decent power with lyrics about life. 10/10 Can't wait for the next album. Rating: 5/5
KELLY - WABUSH, NF, CANADA
There is very little that compares to a cd that can both energize you AND relax you and this is one of those cd's. Today I know of 2 bands that can do that for me, this is one of them...the US Bombs is the other one. I love listening to new bands that know what real punk rock should sound like and "Most Likely to Fail" undestands punk rock. I also like it when a band has its own sound which makes it hard to compare them to someone else. Sure, I hear undertones of some of my favorite bands when I listen to their cd but they have managed to keep their sound very unique which puts them in a class of their own. These guys are real too, they are in this for the love of punk rock music and they are struggling to get theirs out there so BUY their cd !!! This is not some EMO crap(sorry if thats what you're into):( If you are looking for the real thing this is it. Rock on dudes !! Rating: 5/5
MOST LIKELY TO FAIL - KILLING TIME - VERSION 2
A two track single here from one of the best bands around as regards song composition and delivery. Wow - what a couple of wonderful songs we have here with a quality of execution, catchiness and downright pleasure of equally high standard. Ok so one track's a cover, namely Bad Religions' 'American Jesus' - but what a cover. For anyone taking on a Bad Religion cover you must have belief - to outstrip the original you need some fuckin' good musicians - here we have both. To be honest I would have to delve very deep into my personal abyss of punk knowledge to find a better cover version. Class. The other track of this dynamic duo is the opener which is far from overshadowed by the BR effort. In fact it rivals the other song in all areas and just reinforces the fact that we are dealing with a very accomplished and underrated band here. I always try and remain constructive and positive during all reviews and summing up processes and that can sometimes be a testing option. Not so here! On this evidence it is more than a pleasure to review a piece of work of such remarkable brilliance. This bunch must surely be destined for greater things and with care and the same attention to detail are set to produce a sackful of classics. Every reason we music lovers can't stop is engrained within this brace of spirited tracks and you should check these geezers out as soon as possible. REVIEW BY FUNGALPUNK/OMD
GIG REVIEWS - THANKNS TO ALL CONCERNED FOR THE SUPPORT!

So with 3 good un’s down and 4 to go how must the next band be feeling. Well on the evidence at the finish of their set – well fuckin’ pleased. Most Likely To Fail ooze quality and style and the latest 2 track offering (see CD reviews you bastards) is enough to make any promoter want to book these lot. Apparently they are struggling for gigs? A travesty and oversight of all concerned in the punk movement. This set was a masterclass and was everything I expected from a bunch of sanguine performers surely guilty of underachieving. Of course ‘Killing Time’, ‘American Jesus’ (I said see CD reviews) and ‘Innocent Eyes’ were marvels in a marvellous set that was indeed marvellous (that’s five pounds the society for the promotion of Marvellous owes me). I loved it and although some songs are a bit too long for some punky dudes this style and ability can transcend into other genres. If you put one thing on your must do list this year then its ‘Throw a brick at Ken Dodds groin’ If you put two things on then make sure its ‘Go and see Most Likely To Fail’. by OMD
Next up South Yorkshire's favourite son's Most Likely To Fail. This band ooze confidence, and play catchy singalong punk, a thinking mans Oi perhaps, but boy do they rock. Energetic and tight as f****. Halfway through the set I was stood next to members of Boredom, one of whom's comment "f*** me I wish we didnt have to go on after these" surely says more about Most Likely To Fail's performance than I can describe in this review. Halifax Louie - No Mohican, No Studded Leather Jacket but still punk!
This is not a phase, its a state of mind a way of life, if you think you will grow out of it you don't belong here!
Most likely to fail formed in the Winter of 2004. When two mates from Doncaster who Owned a punk music shop got together with a group of customers who became friends along the years. A few members had been in various bands before so this was seen as another opportunitiy for each of us to put our interests in punk music together and do what we like doing the most, playing it in a band again, even though we know most people don't really give a fuck about bands like us! We are Gig mad and get out and see as many bands as we can, probably seen hundreds over the years. Now we want to play hundreds over the next few years, hopefully. We have just finished recording our first 8 track CD on a tight budget (were skint now!) so when we can afford to get them made we hope to get rid of a few. As long as we have a laugh along the way, and meet people who like what we do we will be in it for the long haul. Hope to see some of you at one of our gigs, don't be shy let us know what you think of our tunes and drop us a line. Oh by the way, please feel free to add one of our songs to your profile. Cheers... MLTF
