I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Been doing this music thing for about 20 years strong on both the creative and business sides. Started as a tiny tike playing guitar and saxophone in the school band before becoming a reclusive teen DJ making bedroom mixtapes. Gradually, I moved to engineering and production before tackling the business end.
Bizwise (is that a word?!?), I began as a returns rep for SuperClub Music; moving to sales rep and returns manager at One Stop Music House; and then on to Product Manager and 12" Buyer at The Music Network. Somewhere in there, I founded PowerBorn Promotions which allowed me to work with a diverse list of clients including Ice Cube, Scarface, Sounds Of Blackness, Diddy (the only man with more names than me), Slum Village, Sting, and Angie Stone among others. This Down By Law movement (yeah I said movement) was also birthed somewhere in there.
This music thing that I love so much has allowed me to travel all around this country. (If someone's paying my passport is ready for international travel - just putting that out there.) I've been fortunate to have seen and done all kinds of interesting things: Bar-B-Qued at 8 Ball's house; got my cowboy on at J Prince's Rap A Lot ranch (no Brokeback Mountain-O); finely dined at five star hotels, etc. [Artists Please Note: That'll be listed under miscellaneous deductions on your royalty statement. Sorry.] I've also been in position to turn down a few things: Rodney King's Alta Pazz Records invite... to LA... during a major Blood/ Crip war. Nah brah, catch you next time.
Anyway, that's that. And now...

Anyway, that's that. And now...Random rants and useless facts:I'm the man of a million names: Saddiq, Sincere, Big Red, Big Dill, Grundy, Big Worm, Deebo, Suge, Negative Ned (really trying to get rid of that one - I see you Dee), Roc, and my govt. name but y'all don't need to know that.Love me or leave me alone.I'm a walking contradiction.I'm a simple man but so complex (or either I have a complex; not really sure).I'm deadly serious, but goofy as hell.I DJ but I can't dance (although the kids love when I'm leaning and rocking).I love to love, but I can hate with the best of 'em.I'm your best friend...or your best enemy.I'm a nice guy and all but if you put my back against the wall, I will come out swinging - metaphorically and literally. My Metro (P)ie(C)e Of (S)hit is dropping calls all over the A, but it's cheap so...A lot of people think they know me, but they really don't.Someone borrowed some piss from me - I wonder how that worked out. ("Borrowed" really ain't the right word though 'cause I don't want it back.)I'm a college dropout; thinking about dropping my ass back in.A cetain record label owes me 5K. I might have to drop a refrigerator on somebody - one of those stainless steel joints. Might have to call Jada for tips.Somebody stole my Killah tape. No. Seriously.Everybody in Down By Law is "touched" in that short bus kinda way (myself included). They think I don't know. I do. You have to be a little crazy for world domination right?!? BEWARE OF MY CREW!!!

My Interests

Music, music, and more music. Black Love, RBG, getting my confidence up to Kanye-like levels, Martial arts, Black history and culture, computers, photography, reading, football, basketball, crate digging, 5PN, avoiding girls that read books by Zane, wondering how many feathers are on a Purdue chicken, wondering if people really read this stuff, etc.

I'd like to meet:
