My Interests

Jimmy Misanthrope [Jim-MEE mis-AN-thro-pee] aka M. Jaimz Sims:
Yet another one of a multitude of Jimmys in this world. I appreciate any creative and/or artistic endevour, regardless of whether i actually personally LIKE it, as long as it has some sort of IMPACT on me. I vehemently despise the pre-packaged consumer driven myths created by the churning machine that is the society I am a member of, a society which propogates an ethos of personal gain over the welfare of the species as a whole, by fostering such empty notions such as the idea that having an abundance of flashy material possesions and being a big wheel (in whatever strata of society you place yourself in) will actually lead to any kind of meaningful existence on your part. Golly that was a long sentence.
I try my level best to keep an open and inquisitive mind, to remain aware at all times of any hint of myself falling into any sort of complacent rut as I grow older. I wanna experience my existence as thoroughly as possible. I don't want to take life at face value or for granted as so many of my fellow humans seem to. I live to create, whether it be by musical means or by images or by words, or merely by creating a ruckus, I dunno.
So I'm a very passionate person. But also a fairly decent (well, I aspire to being a "decent" and "good" person) and despite my sarcastic (but rather nifty, dontcha think?) MySpace pseudonym, a fairly friendly person... I'm also someone who is reluctant to share too much of himself to people he doesn't know via the internet O_o
Hmmm... why have I suddenly started referring to myself in the 3rd person? An onset of paranoia perhaps? Nyeeeeheeeheee that's really pretentious of me... I'm really not a pretentious elitist type, no not at all... not meeee... ah fuck it, if you reeeeeally wanna get to know me, send me a message y'all.
(Oh, and I [or I wish I] breed mongooses in my spare time. NOT monGEESE, mongooses.)

I'd like to meet:

People who share similar interests to mine, because there aren't that many around here, and that gets very boring.

Music:

I adore music, the music that I feel drawn to is something I find vital and inspirational, music brings so much to my life, I don't know what I would do without it. So many people I have encountered in my life seem merely content to let the radio, the media, and marketing companies dictate what they should listen to, I've never understood that kind of passive reaction to music. I'm constantly searching for new music to transcend the blandness of everyday existence. My drive for music is pretty fuckin' insatiable. I enjoy the ragggaaarrrrgggghhhh and the exquisitely pretty. Shimmery and spiky. Transcendant and apocrophytical.
