About Me

Ryan aka Paleface started learning music at an early age. By 10 or 12 he was taking classical guitar lessons and playing at recitals. Although he showed a natural talent for the guitar he quickly bored of it, since guitar didn't fit into the hip-hop he was immersed in since 1985. Groups like the Fat Boys, Run DMC and the Beastie Boys were in constant rotation in the Walkman, to the point that none of his tapes had any writing on them anymore. During high school Ryan played guitar with small bands and groups of friends. Around this time he got his hands on a proper DJ set up for the first time, and started learning to scratch. Several years, and having traveled the world gave him a new perspective on life and music. In 2000 Paleface was an apprentice at a local recording studio where he quickly learned the ropes of recording, mixing, and dealing with artists of all kinds from bands to singers to rappers. Starting with Reason version 1, Pale began to make hip-hop and DnB, then grime. With over 200 hip-hop beats and many DnB in the works Paleface is set to show a level of style and structure, quality and innovation rarely seen. In 2003 Pale started the Easy Company collective with MC G.K. Since then they have been recording and refining their sound. Along the way many more members have been added including MC's, producers, DJ's and graff writers/visual artists. Easy Company released an EP in 2004 called "Cold War" and are currently working on their full-length debut "Military Mind", as well as doing live shows with such artists as Main Flow, Mood, and Dead Prez.

Producing, DJing, engineering for hiphop, and rnb acts. Writing music, learning and reading, photography, visual arts graphic design...

Art of War, The Longest Day, lots of books on Vietnam, The Soviet-Afghan War. Books on the Pyramids, Atlantis, The Illuminatti, Behold a Pale Horse, the Bible. I guess I need to start in on the Koran (not for religious reasons, but cultural and social)
