-I just got home from Mythic... This party started kinda slow until... EVE FALCON and RED muthaf@#*+! SONYA!!!Some of the best sets I've heard so far for 2008 (regardless of genre)Party had good vibes, very nice prices on beverages ($1 waters and $3 beers), and the crowd was movin! - Not a big loss on the lack of lighting - the vibes and music made up for itCompared to all of the positives for this party, the lighting and decor were very small details. I offered that note just as a "if you wanted the party to be even better" type thing. I was already impressed when I stepped up to the bar and the bartender only asked for a dollar when I got a water bottleKeep doing what you did last night, and SD will be the place to party in SoCal. ____________________________________________________________ ____
..- This event is something SD should look forward to every year. Phon’s set was incredible! Red Sonya was ROCKIN as always. Eve was building the vibe to the next level. Good crowd which made the vibe that much better. The bearded dragon was a nice added touch to an already good party. .. - Funny you should mention the 90's. I had been out of the scene for a few years now because it started getting scary towards the late 90's and the early part of 2000 with people going to parties mostly to gawk at the girls and to get high and act stupid/violent, etc. The scene went kinda mainstream and the vibe changed completely. Last night renewed my faith that the scene is still alive and well in San Diego. The people were all smiles, dancing, moving, jumping around.... and the energy was so upbeat and positive.
