Playscool, There and Back

About Me

Well, this is a story. But to the point, moved to San Diego to go to SDSU in 1982 and graduated in 87. Started Playscool Productions in 1986 at the Hotel San Diego. Basically I promoted clubs/events for 10 solid years. Some of the Clubs I did were, Playscool, Romperoom, Detention, Rubbermaid, Jungly Gym, Sugar Shack, and others. Romperoom was the first after-hours in San Diego open from 12 a.m. to 6 am. every Saturday downtown on Market street from 1992-96. Playscool became a yearly event at the SD Sports Arena. I did my 10 year anniversary Oct 1996 at the arena and sold out 7000 people. That is when I got out of the business and thought I could get a "real job".

Started my own internet company in 2000 zRomance and currently consult for companies. I decided this year that it was time to come back and do my 20 year anniversary in 2006/2007at the Sports Arena. I told myself I would only bring Playscool back if I have a good enouph line-up. Right now it isn't looking to good, and odds are that Playscool's 20 year will not happen. I have tried my best but I am stuck with what dates are available at the arena and therefore it limits what talent is available.
I am content with however fate dictates whether or not it will happen. Hopefully it will, but most likely not. With that said, I truly appreciate everyones support back then and now. I never said it enouph, but I do Thank You All.

My Interests

Ocean fishing, world events, travel, dining out, music,

I'd like to meet:

I like meeting people the odd thing is at a club I am usually quiet. I become an observer as opposed to a participant. Plus a club really isn't the best place to meet someone and find out who they are. I love meeting people while traveling. There are no strings attached and you really get to know somone since they are out of their "home environement". People are a lot nicer. Noone is trying to "show off", everyone is just being themselves. For my personall life I look forward to meeting my soulmate. I am one who believes.

Music:

OK, my alltime favorite and what got me in the club business is Siouxsie and The Banshees. I still have all my old bootleg records from my club days. After my Siouxsie Days the band that really influenced me and my club was 808 State. I have heard it all and enjoy most all music except country and Opera. I just don't get it.

Movies:

I remember when I was young loving the movie Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid. I don't know why but that movie stood out. I really don't have any favorite moveis. I am pretty easy going and just love the entertainment.

Television:

Seinfeld, BET Comedy, Simpsons, and Fox News
