About Me

THE U.S.A. SONGWRITING COMPETITION WINNER for "Ever Changing World". Nika utilized her poetic skills for writing songs, turning some of her poems into lyrics that would later emerge as hit-single material. She was quickly noticed by the industry moguls, and one of her songs, "Far From Home" was chosen as the only original song recorded on the China Beach theme album. She started a band called Naked Muse, but soon realized that there was a sound yet to be realized and that for her to find it, she must search alone. She parted ways with her band members and began her quest for a sound that would be her own.Soon she was introduced Manual Stagars, and he exposed her to a subculture of dance and celebratory music not yet popular in the public arena. The electronic sounds and hypnotic rhythms of underground trance spoke to Nika in much the same way gospel had so many years earlier. After composing a song with Manual it was clear to her that this was the direction she wanted to explore. A year later "Awakening" was born. Grammy nominated Mac Quayle would remix "Only Love", lending his unique perspective on dance rhythm and creating an alternative vantage point from which to consider Nika's compelling harmonies. The song made the Top Ten chart on multiple DJ listings.
