Carol Lee is the leader of "The Carol Lee Singers", the back-up vocal group of the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
Carol Lee Cooper has previously hosted a variety of Nashville Radio Station WSM morning drive shows.
She was the host of her own radio show on WSM for 5 years ... with guests such as Andy Griffith ... Dolly ... Steve Wariner ... Chet Atkins & George Benson ... Martina McBride ... Alan Jackson ... Richard Petty ... Conan O'Brien ... Jerry Springer ... Garth Brooks and Gene Autry just naming a few.
She formed her own vocal group and that group, "The Carol Lee Singers" has been a part of the Mother Church of Country Music ... the Grand Ole Opry ... for over 25 years.
Carol Lee even invented a "System of Hand Signals" to convey the arrangements she does to the rest of her group on all the Opry shows ... since there are basically no rehearsals. Mark McKuen of "CBS This Morning" even did an interview with her about this "SYSTEM." And ... she's been asked to write a book about it.
Her "trio work" with CONWAY TWITTY along with L.E. White (under the guidance of the legendary producer Owen Bradley) ... provided a string of 1 hits ... 23 1's in all ... on songs like: Linda On My Mind ...
