Regardless of everything else, "Croaky-N" is STILL fun!

About Me

Above are the ribbons I have been issued and am authorized to wear. On the extreme left (You see these ribbons as if you were looking at the uniform because it is worn above the right breast pocket of the old Army Class A's or dress uniform) is the Republic Of Viet Nam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation. On the right from top left to bottom right are Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal with 3 bronze campaign stars, Korean Defense Service Medal and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal, which are worn above the left breast pocket.
I am into Karaoke, enjoy most music, although I do not like most rap. I do not like the negativity and the language of it. Not that I'm a prude, I just don't think I should be inundated with it. My two favorite holidays are Christmas, even though it is too commercialized, to say the least, and Halloween. I have always been a classic horror movie fan. I also really enjoy the 4th of July because of it's historical significance and the fireworks. Being so far from family, Thanksgiving is not as great as it used to be, but because of friends here, it is still enjoyable. The other holidays are ok, I don't get bummed out during them. I just enjoy the above-mentioned holidays more. For many years I was active in amateur, school and college drama. I acted, as well as learning and working the technical end, set construction and design, lighting, sound. I designed and built the stage that at last check, was still being used for the Utah Midsummer Renaissance Faire in Cedar City, UT. Now primarily doing the backstage things. I received an Associates Degree from the College Of Eastern Utah in Price, UT. I served in the US Army for 8 1/2 years with the primary MOS (or job) of 71R20 - Broadcast Specialist, DJ'ing in Korea, Viet Nam and Germany. I was in Viet Nam during the '68 Tet Offensive. I received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal with 3 bronze campaign stars, Korean Defense Service Medal and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal with the 1960 - device, and the Republic Of Viet Nam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation. I was honorably discharged July 31, 1972. I have also been a radio announcer in California, Utah, Nashville, Tennessee and Washington, DC, and have volunteered time with a local Public Radio Station. I currently reside in Everett, WA, even though I am a native Texan, born in San Antonio. I was a military brat, and have lived in 10 states, and have been in every state except Alaska and Maine. My proudest achievement was 3 great sons, with their mother, Marie. Fred, the eldest was my 1st wife's son by another marriage, my son by his and my choice. His brothers, John III and Curtis by our union. Fred passed away at the age of 32, after serving in the US Navy for 8 1/2 years and working for Hewlett-Packard. John and his brother, Curtis each have lovely families.
