Singer/Songwriter/Vocal ArrangerI am originally from Detroit, MI. School brought me to Nashville, I am a graduate of TSU. I come from a wonderful supportive family, who loves me, and who is loved and greatly appreciated by me. Even when I let my parents know that I didn't necessarily want to work in the field of my major and I quit my job, they didn't think I was crazy. They allowed me to do what I believe I was created to do, and that is to live a life of music. They are my BIGGEST fans, and I love them so much for their belief in me. I didn't begin my journey with my music until 1996, when I was introduced to Nashville. It all started with the TSU Gospel Choir and my involvement with my church, Mt. Zion and a community choir, then I.E, now Leviticus. I have had the opportunity to sing on the projects of artists like Michael McDonald, Shirley Caesar, Livingston Taylor, Daryl Coley, Anointed, Alvin Slaughter, Brian Littrell, Out of Eden, and of course my GIRL!! Benita Washington and some others. I've been featured on 2 of the Mt. Zion projects Worship in His Presence and the Judah Generation project. I've had the pleasure of singing live background for Jessie Powell, After 7, Angela Winbush, Kirk and Kevin Whalum, Alvin Slaughter, Benita Washington, Anointed and others. I was blessed with the opportunity to actually become a vocal arranger of a song entitled "Thank You", recorded and released in August 2006 by the contemporary Christian group V3. That was a wonderful experience. I am currently singing background for the lovely Tamia and I am LOVIN it!! Her new album comes out Nov. 14, so if you're reading this and it's before Nov. 14 make sure you remember to get it, and if it's after Nov. 14 and you haven't already gotten it...GO GET IT!! I need to stay workin! God is continually opening doors for me and I pray that He continues to do so. Let me know what you think of my music. I need honest opinions out there people. No sugar coating, I need your criticism. This is the only way to know what I need to improve on. The only way to get hott is to know if you're not! So honest opinions are welcome.
These pieces were painted by the wonderful talent Myshel, a dear friend of mine. When God placed Myshel in my life, He was really blessing me with a wonderful gift. He gave me the gift of knowing this truly virtuous woman. Her spirit is one of the most genuine I know. Her walk with Christ is so embedded in her being that you can just see the radiance of the anointing on her life, and her music is a direct reflection of that anointing. But, not only is she talented musically, but she is being used to touch people through many different facets. Her artistic abilities just seem to flow from her through music, paintings, sculptures, even interior design. Look out for her because she is definitely going to take the world by storm!
