Kakapo LOVE grapes, and they smell like honey and flowers (very unique quality), they also make cool sounds. Males make a low sonic booming sound which is their mating call. This is a deep vibrational sound that can be heard from up to 5km in the breeding season (Which begins in December). They enjoy climbing trees (they are good climbers and scale low trees for food), and also eating Rimu berries (when fruit is plentiful it incourages breeding-which only takes place between 2-4 years).DON'T LIKE: CATS DOGS RATS STOATS THEIR ENVIRONMENT BEING SCREWED!TAKE THE KAKAPO QUIZ
People who care about me...the Kakapo! People who care about conservation in New Zealand and the world. Environmently friendly people who also love to party, Or in Kakapo language "hoot, hoot" "ark, arrk" (party animals). If you can't make it to the gig but would still like to help, simply spread the world to kids (that is those 18yrs+) who live in Dunedin and tell them to come along, OR you can MAKE A DONATION AND SPONSOR A KAKAPO
