Author, Writing Coach & WAHM

About Me

I'm a mom, a wife, a woman and an entrepreneur. I believe I have a few other roles I try to manage as well, but those are at the top of the list! I wrote my first book to help myself and others answer the "what do I really want?" question. It's a combination of the skills I learned through life coaching, and having had to find a way to answer that question for myself.

My next book series, tentatively entitled Leverage Your Knowledge; Build Your Business, is being written now. It's actually going to be a 3 book series that includes what you need to do before beginning to write, how to write a great non-fiction book that positions you as an expert in your field, and how to promote your book to truly leverage your knowledge. I'm having a blast writing it and look forward to sharing more about it soon.
In the meantime, I'm working on doing some interviews with professionals in the writing/publishing industry that I plan to share via my website as soon as they're avaiable. I've already got a publisher, a business consultant and a promotions expert lined up for this summer.
And in all my 'spare' time, I'm working on what I consider my 'pet' project: a guidebook of sorts specifically aimed at moms who're also entrepreneurs. There's a post in the blog her about it (above), or you can visit me at CafeMom (see below) to learn more.
MamaPreneur Check out my profile at CafeMom. It's a great place to connect with real moms and you'll find out more about my 'mamapreneur' project. See you there!

My Interests

Teaching, learning, hiking, family, reading, painting, needle work, business growth, and connecting with like-minded individuals all the time.

I'd like to meet:

If I could meet anyone, I'd have a hard time choosing between Virginia Woolf or Gandolf, the White Wizard.
I'm also interested in connecting with writers - published or not - who want to improve themselves in some way. Look for my group: Life Coaching for Writers .
After reading The Freedom Writers Diary , I have to admit how incredible it would be to meet Ms. Gruwell and those 150 teens who transformed themselves and continue to change the world.

Music:

I can't remember the last time I had the chance to listen to music!

Movies:

I loved: What the Bleep Do We Know, A Long Kiss Goodnight, The Saint, the Ghost & the Darkness, the Notebook, the Usual Suspects. My favorite movies however are the Lord of the Ring series.

Television:

With two little kids it's a little hard to get around to watching TV, but when I do I enjoy The Unit, the various Law & Order series, Smith, and when I can catch it, The Medium

Books:

When I can I read mostly non-fiction. Authors like Deepok Chopra, Carolyn Myss and Sylvia Browne. I also really enjoyed The Art of Business, The Highest Goal, and May I Have Your Attention Please. If I read fiction it's things like A Gracious Plenty and Confessions of a Pagan Nun. My favorite books of all time though are The Hobit and Orlando.

Heroes:

Those who overcome the odds.
