Gary Smith aka C4 first started djing back in 1992, his first residency at a very popular night spot, a venue called State, in rundle mall with djs GT and Gary Hughes aka dj Uzi. By 93 C4 was playing at all the majour raves and dance parties including the first dance party ever held in the Adelaide entertainment centre Welcome.Then in 97 C4,4 years later after cementing his name in the Adelaide scene he then packed up and left for Amsterdam, where he played almost every weekend in countries such as Holland,Beligum, Switzerland, Paris and Germany. 12 months later he returned to Adelaide with a fresh outlook on the dance music scene, 98 he was playing at the formally known venue Heaven night club, now Hq on Thursday nights alongside Djs Brendon, Angus, GT, Gtb.In 99 he was nominated for dj of the year at the SA dance music awards, if you can think of a venue in Adelaide odds are that he has played there at some stage in his Dj career. Over the past 3 years C4 has played at venues such as Arkaba, Sol Bar,Kings Head, Savvy, Rise, Tonic, Earth, future music festival, and is also a weekly Saturday night resident at the all new super club @ Hq complex, while also running events in the riverland and in Pt Linclon, with a host of adelaide's top Djs on rotation, if you are a new school up and coming Dj, and want to get some work, and you think you have what it takes, let me know.
