About Me

I am a greasy, bare-chested douchebag, completely self-absorbed with little or no redeeming qualities.

I love attitude! What am I talking about?

Many years ago when my family went to a pool.. One that was really a piece of the ocean with a wall around it. At the shallow end of the pool all the kids are playing in their brightly coloured costumes, some with beach balls, some up to their knees in water, some sliding down this little shute. All competeing for attention. All of them except one girl.

She was probably about 12 years old, a little tadpole of a thing, and she wore a plain black one-piece costume with a swimming badge on it. Not sure what it said, but that doesnt matter. She walked along the wall of the pool until she had reached the deepest part. I watched in some apprehension, but I soon realised I had no need to worry, because she had dived in with scarcely a splash and was soon doing beautiful, relaxed crawl stroke and knifing through the water like a baby shark.

When she got out of the water I watched all the kids coming towards me and there was something different about the girl in the black costume. It took me a while to see what the difference was (a few years later); it was in the way she walked. She walked like a professional. There was a suggestion of a strut in her gait, an arrogance, if you like, in the way she placed her feet on the ground, the way she held her shoulders. She knew she was good. Nobody had to tell her she was good, she knew it already and the knowledge showed in the way she handled herself. She had the self-confidence of a winner. Add 5 - 10 years and those are the sort of girls I like...
