About Me

Orphaned in Ugoslavia and raised by Amazon pigmy nuns in a little place right next door to hell, Styles Grainger (not his real name) ran afoul of right wing bio-chemists and escaped into nearby Oblivion, a small coastal town in the mohills of California. Now living in a cave, he bangs out tunes reminicent of Elvis and Arron Neville receiving peanut butter and banana enemas.(FOR REAL STORY SEE BLOG) Hemingway Christ was founded by Styles Grainger in the 1990's. The band was comprised of Styles Grainger, Mars Lasso, and Chris Raven. Mars Lasso is an accomplished singer/songwriter and is also pursuing a solo career (SEE: MARS LASSO). These are just bad recordings of writing sessions with a slightly produced track thrown in every so often. Look in 2008 for the release of Hemingway Christ's and Tokens (also Grainger and Lasso) new acoustic album, "THE SON ALSO RISES".
