Dan Thompson used to be in a band called Protein. Protein had a pretty big record deal with Sony, toured with some of the biggest bands and even had a semi-hit single. 'My Blood' which was a M.T.V Asia Buzz Clip .They were well recieved in Japan by millions.(Ok maybe not millions but some). Dan has also jammed with some really cool people, Les Claypool, Derreck St.Holmes (Ted Nugent), Vince Neil, Mark Rivera ( Billy Joel) and has recorded a number of albums in the L.A area for some local Artists. Dan plays live and in the studio with Scott Weiland.( Sometimes) and with L.A. Favorites King Straggler
Doug Grean has never been in a successful band. But he is now a pretty successful Producer/Engineer/Player. He has produced, played with, written songs and sometimes screamed at the likes of Sheryl Crow, Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver, Cyndi Lauper, Kevin Max and Camp Freddy, and is also the musical director, guitar player, producer, for Scott Weiland's solo band.(Who he plays with often. sometimes). Doug has many more fancy rockstars he also worked with, but it's the unfamous rockstars he loves best.
After meeting while playing in a all girl Kiss cover band (Doug playing Bass & Jazz hands, Dan playing drums & interpretive dance) they hit it off when they realized they had one thing in common. They hated everyone else. This dynamic duo took it upon themselves to form a band devoid of assholes and decided to call it 'Avis Calavis'
Unfortunately Computer our backbone is still struggling with his addiction to internet porn but he's doing well! Computer likes Online Gambling, Crank calling, Booze,
& really good weed. He also plays with Scott Weiland(Sometimes). Recently returned from a stint in a fancy rehab in Mississippi he can now be found hanging primarily in cyber-cafes on Ventura Blvd. Hang in there Computer your doing great buddy!
