Alithia are a four piece original rock band. They are based in Melbourne and have been playing in the local music scene for five years during which they have gone through a series of line up changes. This has resulted in the uniting bond of four passionate artists who together love to create and play music that they believe in.
The style is a progressive fusion entailing soft ambient strings, driving rhythms, psychedelic rock grooves and melodic undertones that resonate with vocal harmonies. Alithia have created their own unique sound which is fresh and real and blends a mix of different eclectic tastes of the four members.
Alithia are dedicated to playing live gigs and entertaining audiences with their sound and conviction. Inspired by virtue, intoxication of the senses and passion, Alithia convey their emotions through the music uniting with the energy that bonds us all. Their current debut EP “The Rising†is gaining positive feedback and this has led to radio airplay. Alithia are now ready to continue to promote their sound and love of music to all who are willing to open and share their hearts and minds.
Alithia have performed at numerous venues around Melbourne such as the Espy, the Arthouse and Pony as well as the occasional underground warehouse party. Alithia also placed in the top 5 of the Revolver Melbourne Fresh Showcase in 2006. Alithia have played outdoor festivals such as Renaissance and Maitreya for the past two years and are currently in the process of being filmed for a forthcoming internet documentary promoting a new Melbourne based web store.
