Italian jazz drummer - [email protected]

About Me

I started to play drums quiet late, giving all my energies to metal and very much hand technique and double bass drum technique. I studied a lot and played a few concerts, then Queen times came, with Cool Cats we did many concerts around Venezia, Treviso and Padova. A lot of concerts and recording experiences came from Phonica, electronic pop rock band, whom I played a lot with around Italy going to Sanremo contest, San Marino, Tim Tour playing before Jamiroquai concert and many other minor musical tournaments. Then came the jazz time taking two years lessons from Marco Volpe in Milano, this helped me a lot to develope my drumming in funky, blues and jazz styles and he prepared me for Trieste conservatory “G. Tartini” where, now from 2005/06, I am studying improvisation, piano, classic and jazz harmony, arrangement, composition, vibraphone, timpani. In 2006 I got a scolarship to go to Umbriajazz where I played with Ken Servenka and Dave Howard. Between spring and autumn 2007 began a very good collaboration as a drum teacher in many music schools Boschello - Mirano, Accademia Musica e Danza - San Donà, Campagna Lupia, Zydeco - Mestre, Officina Musicale – Mogliano, Casa della Musica – Padova. From February to July 2008 I have been studying in ESMAE in Porto, Portugal under the guide of Michael Lauren and it was a big pleasure to play with the ESMAE Big Band and the European Tuba Trio under the conduction of the composer Paulo Perfeito. During this period I had also the chance to have great workshop and to play with Ohad Talmor, Shane Endsley, Jacob Sacks, Matt Pavolka, Dan Weiss and Pedro Madaleno.I play with Nicola Privato Trio (Nicola Privato – guitar; Marco Privato – double bass); Zoo Village (Elisa Aramonte – voice; Francesco Sassanelli – guitar; Denis Feletto – keys; Rosa Brunello – el. bass); The Washington Blues Band (Ivan Furlanetto – guitar; Andrea Vanacore – el. bass; Silvia Marchesan - voice; Geremy Seravalle - hammond); Abbey Town Jazz Orchestra directed by Kyle Gregory (available on request the new album "Big Band Jump").Other masterclasses: Mike Portnoy, John Riley, Alfredo Golino, Ron Savage, Stefano Bollani, Billy Hart, Christian Meyer.Ippo + Dogdancin hippo!
