My name is Jane and I make ODD things.
I work with power tools, hammers, rusty nails, and an occasional scissor or knife, late at night in my studio. I love to make things look old even if they are new and go to great lengths to alter and to distress!
I am a collector at heart- or a hoarder by trade.I keep jars of things, like: old buttons, bullet casings, doll hands, small plastic toys, sparrows feet, and eye of newt...
I make small sculptural shrine-type of boxes out of discarded wood, I have been known to paint and of course, I draw and create jewelry.
I have a love of the color brown- which may come from drinking lots of coffee and tea. I have great hopes of being remembered historically... but I am sure it is a true case of delusions of grandeur - so I am going to just run with it.
The am working a book of my work which is due out in September 2007.
