Hello there everybody... settle down.. don't make me turn the lights on and off! That's better. My name is Seymour Skinner and I am Principal of Springfield Elementary School. I face a constant struggle to hold the crumbling school together and I am constantly engaged in a battle against the school's inadequate resources, apathetic and bitter teachers, and largely rowdy and unenthusiastic students -- Bart Simpson being the standout example! I live in fear of the wrath of my boss, Superintendent Chalmers, who sadly makes no effort to hide his disapproval of me. At one point I had the ignomy of being fired and replaced by Ned Flanders of all people, despite Flanders' thorough lack of administrative skill and experience. I was soon reinstated with the unlikely help of Bart Simpson, who had briefly become my good friend. There may well be some hope for him yet. I live with my Mother still, which causes me many issues.. I mainly live there because of my meagre Principal's salary but what is seldom mentioned is that in a previous life I was in reality Armen Tamzarian. I was a troublesome orphan until I joined the Army and was befriended by Sgt. Skinner, whom I came to idolize. Believing myself responsible for the real Skinner being killed, I eventually returned to Springfield, after being a prisoner of war for a while, to tell Skinner's mother, but she mistook me for Seymour so I continue to live with her. My secret was revealed when the real Skinner returned after he proceeded to upset all of Springfield Judge Snyder granted me Skinner's "name, and his past, present, future, and mother," and decreed that no one will mention his true identity again under penalty of torture. Oh.. forget I said all of that.. ahem..
