Javier Moreno was born in Barcelona in 1979. He started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and is mostly self-taught. His influences include numerous artists, whom he discovered via his father's record collection and include The Beatles, Bob Marley and Dire Straits together with Spanish musicians such as Los Chichos, El Ultimo de la Fila, Serrat, Lole y Manuel, among others. After touring the North-East of Spain with an orchestra and participating in a number of national songwriting contests, Javier relocated to Bristol in 2006. The city offers him a wide range of opportunities, due to his versatility in performing different music styles. Since then, he has established himself as an inspired and respected musician, with a broad songwriting repertoire. On stage, Javier exudes confidence and empathy with his audience: his mellifluous voice lending sensitivity to his Mediterranean fusion music.
Javier's debut album Un Tesoro en el Silencio, independently released in early 2008 depicts a journey, commencing in the Sahara desert, through Andalucia and the city of Barcelona, the door to the Mare Nostrum melting pot. Javier's other projects include El Patio Primo - a 4-piece band playing flamenco rumba, whose musical vitality is increasing the band..s popularity throughout the UK. He has also played accompanying guitar to a Fado singer, sung and danced salsa with Orquesta Montpelier, and "Bulerias" with the Bristol Flamenco Collective. He is also writing new material featuring English lyrics. A passionate troubador, such is Javier's love for his art, that he can often be found, wandering the streets of Bristol at midnight, guitar in hand, melting the heart of the moon. CASTELLANOJavier nació en Barcelona en 1979. Vivió y creció como un niño normal de la época, con Barrio Sésamo, Heidi y David el gnomo, las películas de Bud Spencer y Terence Hill, y el Un, dos, tres. Entonces aún había cosas interesantes que ver en la tele.
A los 12 años comienza a tocar la guitarra, siendo mayormente autodidácta. Sus primeras influencias musicales viene de sus padres, grupos internacionales como The Beatles, Bob Marley, o Dire Straits, y grupos españoles como El Último de la fila, Los Chichos, Lole y Manuel, Serrat y Sabina, entre otros.
Su primer trabajo como músico profesional lo realiza de gira con una orquesta por el sureste de España, a ritmo de las canciones del verano y Paquito el chocolatero, y tras participar en varios certámenes nacionales de cantautores, se traslada a Bristol (UK) al comenzar el 2006. Año nuevo, vida nueva. La ciudad le ofrece muchas más oportunidades gracias a la rica cultura musical del país. Allí graba su primer álbum, Un tesoro en el Silencio (2008), lanzado de forma independiente, y y lo define como "un viaje desde el desierto del Sahara, a través de Andalucia hasta Barcelona, puerta del gran mejunje cultural que es el Mediterráneo".
Con una voz que cautiva, Javier es un músico todo-terreno, tan pronto te canta una romántica canción como se arranca por bulerias o canta y baila salsa. Su capacidad para conectar con el público se percibe rápidamente en sus conciertos, donde demuestra cercanía y humildad. Otros proyectos en los que participa incluye el grupo de flamenco-rumba El Patio Primo, una exitosa formación que se está dando a conocer rápidamente en los escenarios del Reino Unido, y que está preparando su primer trabajo.
