What you think affects your emotions, and your emotional reactions become your biochemical reality.

About Me

Layout made byI am not a doctor, but I have suffered from anxiety/panic attacks. The information contained on this page is presented for information/educational purposes only. The material is in no way intended to replace professional medical care. If you're in need of specific information, please let me know and I'll try and find it for you.I can't make it all "go away," but I can help you help yourself, and that is where your personal power lies. I survived a childhood of neglect, physical, emotional & sexual abuse, so I understand this side of anxiety programming. I get a high volume of email, so if you send me a message, I will get back to you asap. Thank you for your patience. Take care, Shawna (Angel Shadow™)"
Understanding the Stress Link (Source: anxietycentre.com)There are a number of sources of stress. Stress can be emotional, mechanical, physical, nutritional, environmental, chemical, and as a result of radiation. It can also be internal or external. Popular medical opinion estimates that 6% of all illness is caused by genetics, with the remaining 94% being psychosomatic (originating in or being aggravated by our thoughts and moods). That means most of the illness today is caused by or aggravated by what you think and feel. When it comes right down to it, your life experience is based solely on how you perceive every situation or event you come in contact with. What you think determines your experience. Emotions affect the body's physiology. The emotions you feel become your biochemical reality. What you think determines your emotions, and the body directly responds to those emotions. Therefore, the body's physiology can be determined by what you think. Another words, the way you perceive an event determines the way your body responds to it.
