About Me

The Northcoast Jazz Collective (NJC) is one of the best jazz groups in Cleveland and fast becoming one of the better known. The band plays straight-up modern jazz that is creative, emotional and accessible. It has a dozen original compositions in its repertoire, as well as arrangements of jazz standards. Recently, the NJC released its initial CD, featuring all original compositions. Another CD is being planned for the end of the year by this quartet.

The NJC has become the house jazz group at Fat Fish Blue, playing there twice a month for the past year. In addition to club dates, the band has played at festivals such as the First Madison Jazz Fest and continues to entertain at various venues and outdoor concerts including the Cleveland Museum of Art Summer in the Courtyard series.
