Pythicvs {pronounced Pithy-koos} comes from my inspiration by Pythagorus the great Mathamatic{k}ian.
I've always been intrigued by science and numbers. The movie Pi with it's basis on the order of life, the appearance of spirals everywhere within nature has fascinated my curiousity for years.
Pythagorus founded Mystery Schools throughout the ancient world and even developed a form of Numerology as prevailent in today's understanding in Esoterics as his work, and his students' in their discoveries in mathamatics used today that have been taught in our schools for centuries.
You might recall from Geometry, the Pythagorean theorum. A formula to find the hypotnus of right triangles:
A 2 + B 2 = C 2
Where A & B are the legs of the triangle and C is the hypotnus.
I understand this may not be of interest to some folks, but I feel that Mathematicks are a language of Truth. There are divinity in numbers. Numbers are ideas and with Math we can bring our ideas to life in our 4th dimensional reality we call Life.
Musick is also a language of numbers. Everyone can understand Musick. It's all about the transfer of emotion through vibration. Every action, every cause, every effect in our world of form creates sound.
Sound is made by the eb and flow of waves produced by energy. Without sound our entire universe would be a void.
Sound is vibration. And all matter vibrates within a specturm of frequency. Even color and light operate in a similar fashion.
When you listen to Musick do you imagine colors? A certain tone might make you feel relaxed and another tone might make you feel invigorated with energy. We describe sounds as "hot" or "warm", "thick" or "tinny" or even "wet" or "dry".
These are all words that describe objects that have form that we can reach out and touch. So in a sense, when we hear Musick, we are creating a reality within our imaginations filled with light and dark, with shades and tones, different hues and densities.
Next time, when you listen to a song that you're fond of, find some space where you can be alone and put on headphones or just a room where there's nothing else but sound from the Musick. Turn off the lights or close your eyes and lose yourself within the sound. Turn off the voice in your head and just be.
You'll be amazed as to what your imagination will create and how it makes you feel.
