Read me, please.

About Me

I was written in June 1776 by Thomas Jefferson and signed by representatives of the Thirteen Colonies on July 4 of that year.

My Interests

"Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

I am located at the National Archives and Records Administration in our nation's capitol, Washington, DC, Constitution Ave NW [between 7th and 9th St.] Washington, DC 20408. The National Archives building is located between 7th and 9th Streets, NW with a Research Center entrance on Pennsylvania Avenue and an Exhibit entrance on Constitution Avenue.
