About Me

My dad has always called me Trickynik and sometimes shortens it to Tricky but most people call me Nik or Nicola, I don't like being called Nikki. I am mother to Kieran who recently turned 16 and we have a great bond. Currrently I am writing some comedy, a sitcom hopefully for TV and I am temping to pay the rent. I have recently done a short film with the Turrell bros called Una! I play Una! I draw animation and cartoon stuff and got some really exciting things going on!! I live in Notts and have done since I came here to go to Uni and studied Contemporary Arts at Trent. I want to live in Canada eventually, it is an amazing country and my youngest bro lives there. Kieran and I went to visit some Native American Indians in 1995 there and I would like to go back and do a doco about them. My Interests

Lots and varied. People are my main interest whatever whoever and having a sense of humour! Cartoons! Native American Indians and their culture. Comedy - I am going to be doing stand-up in the future! :) Horses. I want one of my own. Ice skating - discovered it in my 30's and I love it! :) Writing...singing and dancing!!!!!!

Music:

I love music..........all of it....... The first record I bought was 'Special Brew' by Bad Manners (thanks Popx)and my most recent CD purchase was The Kooks' album and best of Echo and the Bunnymen. I write music and teach the piano. I'm also learning how to play the guitar - yeehaa! My favourite bands are James, REM, Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Killers, Keane, U2, Sunhouse, TVOD, Oasis, Blurr, R&B, Reggae, The Verve, Snow Patrol, The Smiths, St Ettienne, Beatles, S&G, The Kinks, The Who, Madness, The Jam,Paul Weller and now TCC! ;)

Heroes:

My dad. He brought up 4 kids on his own and worked fulltime as a head teacher. He sacrificed a lot for me, my bro's and sister. Respect dad! Jayne Torvill - I wanted to be her when I was kid and I got to interview her for a documentary I made called Ice House! Totally dedicated.
