About Me

:

This bunch have been on the road for years together, and in different bands such as Route 66, Union Avenue, The Bluemoon Boys and Rocket 88. The original Peas were formed in 1985, the year of live aid, an they busked around collecting for that cause, that..s how it all started. They started out as The Blackeyed Peas and have 2 crackin' albums recorded under that name. The first "Uncooked" was recorded in Maryhill, Glasgow, and released only on cassette, but it has since been remastered on cd by Carrick Records. The second album "Cool Off Baby!" is a real thumpin' rockabilly sound and was recorded at Sun Recording Studio Kilmarnock, engineered by Bill Martin. There is a third album called "Rock It Boys", recorded on 4-track cassette and totally live.. hence the sound!! This has been re-mastered to cd by Jimmy O..Pea and is dedicated to the memory of their former Slap Bass player, Alan (Rocky) Watson, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. They also have a live album, produced by Carrick Records called "Rockin' Live in Scotland", where they back Linda Gail Lewis, the sister of the legendary Jerry Lee, both albums were released on 30/09/06 at the first of another 2 gigs played in Scotland with Linda Gail and her daughter Annie, the first in Maybole town hall on the 30th September 2006 which was sold out and was jumpin' from the first song, and one in Glasgow at the Grand Ole Opry on the 1st October 2006. which was well attended also. The Band have played at Hemsby, Americana, The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, The Killkenny Festival and have just finished a third year touring with Linda Gail Lewis.
