Nice people.
My all time favorite artist is Bruce Hornsby, he's awesome. I also love Steve Winwood, who seems to have disappeared some time ago...a big fan of drum corps music and marching band stuff, since I did all of that in high school, and might march a sr corps one day down the road. Love to go to drum corps shows, that's always fun. Never been to any concert besides STOMP if that even counts as a concert, and some jazz festivals (1 or 2 around this local area), and some philharmonic performances. All good stuff for the most part. I love drumming and percussion in general, since I am a percussionist myself, tho I haven't gotten the drumset out in forever. I played marching bass and snare 2 yrs on each drum in high school and went to a few drum corps camps, but never ended up staying and playing with any of them.I want to learn how to play the piano sometime soon. Then I can play Bruce Hornsby stuff.Other bands I like- Squeeze, Paul Carrak (who did stuff with Squeeze), Maroon 5- I like most of the stuff I heard from them, Dave Koz, Brubeck, Buddy Rich stuff, Marcus Miller and Wayman Tisdale- both really great bass players...Rick whatever his name is- plays trumpet, I suddenly forgot his last name. Many others in the jazz, light jazz category (spyro gyra, russ freeman, the rippingtons, mancini's stuff, etc.)
