Living the dream!

About Me

Life really could be very simple. We could be quiet, operate within the confines of rules, and color in the lines. But that would be boring! Kristin Korb is a rebel like you, not the “paint her nails black and scream bloody murder at the world” kind of rebel. She’s also not quite subtle enough either for her devious personality. She’s the quiet kind of rebel who looks for trouble in the unglamorous parts of life, she speaks out against injustice, helps the less fortunate in times of need, supports public education, and plays music that speaks only to those who are actually listening to the message."Why Can't You Behave" is the theme of Kristin Korb's new project. It examines all the facets of acting, functioning, and reacting to life outside the parameters of mindless conformity. Sure, being a rebel has its consequences. But as you know, that’s what makes it so frustrating and rewarding at the same time. We look for the thrill of the moment in physical and mental challenges. The resulting adventures can be flirty, fun, and downright exuberant as in the featured song, “You Stepped Out of a Dream”. Kristin reminds us of those moments of pure joy when we fall in love. From the bounce in our step to the stars in our eyes to how nothing seems to bother us and all is right in the world.Sometimes too many boundaries are crossed and everything comes crashing down into an abyss of nothingness. “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” wallows in the dark moments when the risks were too great and the losses are immense. The pain is palpable and you just can’t seem to get out to places anymore and you have this permanent black cloud over your head.No matter how great the losses may be, your true spirit must move on at some point to seek new challenges and adventures. This often happens to the chagrin of those who would like to see you fold into a pattern of complacency and ambivalence like them. “You’re Blasé” is just that song to get you moving again. Your problems are not mine. Don’t let me hold you in your misery. Life is passing you by and so am I.Fueled by day dreams and visions of further adventures, the rebel in us pushes on to “misbehave” again, take chances, and face the consequences without hesitation. Life is not easy. There are no set guidelines or a clear path to get the results or happiness we want. We have to get through the full gamut of experiences. Kristin Korb offers you the rare gift of looking at it from the outside to see what is really happening.
