About Me
Ms. Kong started out as a child performer. Her early training in singing, dance (jazz and ballet) and acting kept her busy in numerous professional appearances in television, stage, commercials and film work.As a singer, her love of jazz standards, Brazilian music and show tunes is beautifully reflected in her choice of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jobim, Ivan Lins, Michel Legrand, Irving Berlin and John Mercer songs. Her uniquely intimate contemporary approach towards romantic music is warm and refreshing. This is Ms. Kong's debut CD with musical arrangements by Richard Callaci."I wanted to approach each song with a new perspective: "Watch What Happens" with a warm Brazilian feel, "It Ain't Necessarily So" with a blues feel and "How Deep is the Ocean" with a cello accompaniment and a "confessional" quality.""I believe in everyone of us there exists the "incurable romantic" despite how difficult it can be to realize that "dream".
