Coming from Athens, Greece, Astral Aeon were created in 2003 when some good friends decided to form a black metal band in order to express their love for metal, some dreams and thoughts.
Astral Aeon are influenced from bands like Darkthrone, Emperor, Order of the Ebon Hand, Rottng Christ, Necromantia, Master's Hammer and they try to combine dirty black riffs with a chaotic, dark atmosphere.In 2003 they released their debut demo "To The Realm Where No Life Dwells". This demo combines influences from 80's classic metal bands like Mercyful Fate, Venom, Celtic Frost and Bathory with early 90's greek black metal bands . The response to that demo was encouraging for the band and after participating in some concerts , Astral Aeon entered "my two ears" studio of Mike Galiatsos in order to record their new demo.In 2004 a second demo is released under the name "Great Beyond". Here the music follows majestic paths with faster guitar riffs, blast beats and black-screaming vocals all of them dressed by an obscure, epic feeling. This demo was released in a limited number of copies and it's four songs will be re-recorded and included in Astral Aeon first album.In 2006 after some changes in their line up Astral Aeon have completed the recordings of their first album called "Aenaon" and are seeking a contract with a label. Astral Aeon logo is created by Cristophe Szpajdel (also responsible for the logos of Emperor, Enthroned, Horna, Nocternity e.t.c ) Astral Aeon emblem is created by Stauros Angelis.
