Destiny Denied were formed in December 2003 from the attempt of their first members to play something that would sound death-metal like.. But in time the result appeared to be more of a thrash-hardcore sound with death metal vocals, so lets say something like thrashcore! At the end the sound appeared to be much more different from what the founding members had in mind but in any case the band at that time enjoyed playing that music and they still do !!! A music style with aggressive riffs, fast drumming, swampy bass-lines and blackish vocals. But melody is also a very important element in the music of Destiny Denied. Melodic Vocals, melodic solo crossings, melodic phrases in general which give to the final sound a touch that differs in a way from the thrash-death-hardcore sound, but still remains heavy and aggressive.
Members History
Destiny Denied took the first footsteps as a band with a very different form from the present one. With the first line up the band had in a 4month period 2 new songs and 2 covers running in the studio. The first major line up change was when a new drummer jumped in, Bill, and with his drumming style gave the band the chance to enter more brutal and faster paths. Another 2 months go by and Rita [Mortal Torment] decides to leave the band in a search for more brutal death music. She was replaced by Kostas. Then the band continues for about a year with constant changes on the bass player position. Kostas-ex vocalist- leaves Destiny Denied and once again the band can't move on. He was replaced by George [guitars] in a desperate try to fill the vocalist position. Round that time Nick [Bass] joins DD and finally the band has a steady form for about a year and a half. In that time Destiny Denied launched 2 demo recordings and 3 live shows in Athens. But.. George [grandpa] leaves Destiny Denied. Since then the band carries on as a trio. Made 1 live show in September 2007 and in February 2008 releases a full length [10 songs] demo.. real editor best profile tools a
