About Me

Formed in 1997, Tardive Dyskinesia thrived out of the underground scene into the flawless, massive and solid modern metal that they have now bestowed upon us through their debut album ‘Distorting Point of View’. They started out as OVERRIDE, playing gigs in Athens and around Greece, releasing 2 demos and receiving positive reviews from the musical press securing their place within the music scene and becoming well known throughout. Changing their name in 2003 further marked the bands progress, who, initially, influenced by bands such as Pantera, Metallica and Machine Head, proceeded to produce musical quality of international standards: tighter performances, focused on dynamics and groove, a more massive sound and overall technically more demanding. In 2005, with the collaboration of Venerate Industries, the band record their debut album and in July 2006 ‘Distorting Point Of View’ found its way to the shelves of record stores.
The current sound of the band is balanced between the southern sounds of Pantera, Crowbar and the acrobatical rhythms of Meshuggah while at the same time displaying the aggressiveness of hardcore bands such as, A Life Once Lost or Buried Alive. All this is based on definite, penetrating and inspiring guitars, as well as, the exceptional production, which until recently people swore was impossible to be achieved in Greece. Tardive Dyskinesia have certainly filled an unquestionable void within the Greek extreme music scene being the first to present such a professional album in their genre, precisely at the time that the local audience lusts for similar sounds.
