Valkyries was formed in samos island during september 2005.. In the beginning orestes was in vocals and michalis was playing second guit. but orestes was awfull so we decided to let michalis sing.. We did not had a bassist so orestes decided to play it.. The first song we played to become united as a band was liquido - narcotic(completely different from our present style).. After that we made our first song, Secretkey.. Then came a song to the brave, strange winds, she is only a dream, day by day, 4 o'clock AM, Utopia, Hearts manifest, M, stone cry and it's raining.. We recorded our demo in feb 2006(part1) and in dec 2006(part2).. We were chosen together with 21 other bands out of 180 from all around the country to participate in schoolwave festival 2006 that took place durin june 2006 in athens.. We' ve been making lives around samos during 2005 and 2006 and working on new songs..
September 2007 found us seperated in two cities fact that made that season a 'dead' period for the band. The promising summer of 2008 ended with neither live shows nor working out songs. George (drummer) left the band because of doubt on the music style and a personal distance that had been created between him and the other members. September 2008 found two members in athens one in samos and one in thessaloniki. Pavlos who is also in athens became the new drummer and the fifth member of the band. Since then a new era began. New songs (The Gateaway, Revolution and Dokimasia), different style and a lot of creativity took place during late 2008, early 2009 and until now. We hope to do something more professional sooner or later, but the most important thing for us is to enjoy ourselfs when playing and express our emotions..
If you are going to remember one single thing of us, remember that: When the end of a dream comes it should always be the beginning of another............
