Heather Holland writes paranormal and sci-fi romances. Some of her currently available works include The Drigon's Fall and This Side of Desperate, both available through Ellora's Cave.
For more information on the things I write and me, visit my website ( www.heather-holland.com ) or join my Yahoo group. Heather's Galaxy is live and just waiting for new members. As an incentive for joining, I am offering up THREE FREE READS to anyone who joins, one of which is the previously published and out of print short story, Jungle Magic. You can find those in the files section of the group and a link to the group can be found below through the JOIN HEATHER'S GALAXY text in bright blue. :^) I'm also known for throwing out excerpts at random from currently available and upcoming works alike.

My Interests

Writing, reading, video games, music, and movies. And not necessarily in that order. My interests vary and are many in number, but these are the major ones. I also crochet and make bookmarks and bracelets.

I'd like to meet:

Richard Dean Anderson, but I fear if it ever happened, I'd make a complete fool of myself. Chester Bennington, becuase he's very talented and I love his work. Same with Mike Shinoda. And this might seem odd, but Link from the Legend of Zelda, because he's an awesome hero, even if he is only a kid. Anxiously awaiting March 2007 and the next game in the series.

Anyone who joins the Galaxy will get not one, not two, but THREE free stories to read. These stories are my way of saying thanks to all the wonderful readers who have stuck by me while I've struggled with health issues and to try and find my way in the publishing world. You're all the greatest.

Epublishing: Good or Bad?

Well, there seems to be some whispers that epublishing is on the decline, and that a bad trend is emerging in the epublishing industry. I have to disagree. I mean, yeah, a good number of epublishers h...

Professionalism

Being in the public eye, a person has certain expectations imposed upon him or her. Temper tantrums are out. Screaming hissy fits are out. Calm, cool, and polite no matter what one is up against is al...

Things on the Net that Annoy Me

1) Music on a MySpace page, because that horrid shit always loads BEFORE the page and you can't turn it off before it drills holes in your head and causes blood to seep from your eyes. I hate it, it s...

Drawing the Line pt.2

I thought this was over. I was wrong. Today it begins a new, but after today, there will be no more. There are times when it seems that no matter what you do, you just can't win for losing. I know, yo...

It’s Just Another Day

Another day in which I have not done much of anything. I'll start soon. At least I'm far calmer now than I was the last time I blogged. I think I've hit a crossroads. A point in my life where the way ...

Drawing the Line

Okay, I admit it. I'm a pushover. Or rather, I was until recently when I finally decided I was tired of living like that. What is it about me that makes others think they can walk all over me? I ask v...

Spooks of the World Unite

It's that time of the year again. Time for spooks, spirits, demons and goblins (along with several other critters of the night). I grew up with a fondness for all things paranormal. I loved ghost stor...
