Encouraged by a mother with similar interests and one of the world's greatest English teachers, I began writing my own stories. Unfortunately I inherited a practical side to my nature from my grannie - who once told me at a party, in front of my teenage friends, to cross my legs not my fingers. Talk about mortified!I went on to become one of the first people in my family to graduate from University where I trained for a medical profession.
